At Reason's WTA our goal is to develop people with black belt attitudes, black belt hearts, and black belt abilities. We emphasize character qualities like respect, courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, leadership, self-confidence, goal-setting, and serving others by participating in various community service projects.
We also work on developing muscular strength, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, agility, balance, and coordination.
And of course we train people in self-defense by teaching the Korean martial art of Taekwondo.
We also train with offensive weapons like nunchucks, combat sticks, and
bo staff, as well as learn defensive strategies against weapons like knives and guns.
To help others, a percentage of our profits every month is donated to Feeding America, and local food banks, to help feed those in need, and to children's hospitals to help families with special-needs children.
We train in accordance with the rules and regulations of World Taekwondo, (formerly World Taekwondo Federation, or WTF)......
.....and the Kukkiwon which is the official governing body established by the South Korean government for taekwondo. A Kukkiwon certificate is widely regarded as the most prestigious of all the black belt certificates within the art of Taekwondo.
